Pope star Michel Martelly sworn in as president of Haiti

Port-au-Prince, Haiti, (AMIPS) – The Pope Star, Michel Martelly, sworn Saturday in as a new president to the Republic of Haiti, months after the destroying earthquakes that hit the country.
He assumed the office from outgoing president Rene Preval in the first democratic transfer of power from one party to another in the country's turbulent history.
