Morocco: February 20 Movement rally outside headquarters of parliament in Rabat
Rabat (Morocco) - AMIPS - Around 100 members of the February 20 pro-reform movement staged Friday in front of headquarters of the Moroccan parliament in Rabat to demand democratic reforms.
The protesters chanted slogans denouncing the legislature as a symbol of corruption and calling for it to be dissolved.
February 20 Movement is due to present its proposals for constitutional reform on April 16 to a commission set up by King Mohammed VI following a wave of protests that swept the Arab world earlier this year.
it should be nothing that the February 20 Movement held many demonstrations in different Moroccan cities to demand restriction of King's powers and call for more demopcratic freedom and more political anticipation.
