Western Sahara Jurists Union appeals to NGOs for immediate intervention to release Saharawi political prisoners in Morocco
Saharawi Refugee Camps- MAP- the Western Sahara Jurists Union appealed to the international organizations of human rights for the immediate intervention to release the Saharawi political prisioners in Moroccan jails
"we urge the international community, HR organizations as well as media to put pressure on Moroccan regime inorder to release all Saharawi political prisioners in its jails" according to statement of the Union published Wednesday by Western Sahara News Agency SPS
"Saharawi Jurists Union demands the Moroccan regime to immediately and unconditionally release all Saharawis political prisoners, to cancel arbitrary sentences, unveil the fate of the Saharawi missing as well as opening the occupied territories of Western Sahara infront of international observers, media and parliamentarians" the statment added
The Union expressed deep concern on the serious health of Saharawi hunger strikers in Moroccan prison of Tizinit.
" The situation of two political prisoners, Bachri Ben Taleb and Sheikh Amaidan under the forced deportation from the occupied Aluin, the capital of Western Sahara to Ait Melloul (Morocco) where they are in hunger strike since 23 days, suffering health problems ", the statement highlighted.
The Union strongly denounced the policy of neglect and obstinacy, holding Moroccan authority full responsibility for lives of all the Saharawi hunger strikers in Moroccan jails.
It deplored the campaign of Harassment and forced deportation made by the Moroccan department of jails in coordination with the intelligences against the Saharawi journalist, Mostfa Abd Daym, and political prisoner, Mahmud Abu Lgasem in Sala prison, Morocco .
Finaly, Saharawi Jurists Union reaffirmed solidarity with all Saharawi human rights activists and political detainees.
