Gen. William Ward applauds ongoing course of dialogue between Polisario Front and Morocco
Washington - Arab independent press service - The General and President of the U.S. military command for Africa (AFRICOM), Mr. William Ward, applauded Friday the ongoing path of dialogue between Polisario Front and Morocco through informal meetings, Sahara Press Service reported.
He considered, during a press conference in Washington, that the continuing dialogue between the Polisario Front and Morocco to reach a solution “is very positive”
He also praised efforts of the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross, for contributing in this dialogue and finding solution to this situation.
It is note worthy, the UN Security Council has called in its resolution 1871 on the two parties to the conflict, Polisario Front and Morocco, to continue negotiations “under auspices of the UN Secretary General, without pre-conditions and in good faith to reach to a just, durable and mutually agreed political solution that guarantee the right of self-determination for the Saharawi people.
