Algeria reaffirms on necessity to respect international legitimacy concerning Western Sahara cause

Luxembourg - MAP - Algeria reaffirmed Sunday on the necessity to respect the international legitimacy to settle the conflict in Western Sahara.
Algeria reiterated, in its statement during the sixth Algeria - European partnership meeting held on June 19-20 in Luxemburg, support to a settlement respecting the international legitimacy and devote the inalienable right of the people of Western Sahara to self-determination.
It also expressed satisfaction on the firm position of the UN Security Council regarding the Western Sahara cause, renewing its full support to the efforts of the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Ambassador Christopher Ross.
On relevant context, EU expressed, in its statement in the meeting, support the efforts of the UN Secretary General to reach to a just, durable and mutually acceptable solution provided for self-determination of the Western Sahara people.
