Saharawi human rights activist visits Sweden
Stockholm-MAP-The Saharawi Ex-Political Prisoner, Human Rights Activist and President of the Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH), Brahim Dahan, is visiting Sweden at the invitation of NGOs
Brahim Dahan was received at the Swedish Foreign Ministry by senior officials and received at Parliament by members of the Social Democratic Parties, where he informed them about the ongoing human rights violations perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation forces against the defenseless Sahrawi citizens, looting of the Saharawi natural resources and media blackout imposed over the Territory.
The interlocutors of the Saharawi activist reiterated support for the Saharawi people's right to self-determination and expressed condemnation to the attacks and constant violation on human rights of the defenseless Saharawi people.
He made interviews with Swedish media and gave a talk at the University of Uppsala. In addition, he held separate meetings with Amnesty International, Emmaus, Swefor, VastsaharaActionen, Frieningen Vastsahara and other NGOs.
Founder of ASVDH also participated in the activities of the seminar “the days of Olof Palme”, the journey of the young Social Democrats, and ceremony of the 2011 Per Anger Award which had won in 2009.
