United Kingdom for self-determination of the Saharawi people
London - Independent Maghreb Press Agency - The United Kingdom has reaffirmed its support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and freedom, in a communiqué concluded works of sixth session of the Algerian-British Bilateral Committee held in London.
In a statement of the Foreign Ministry, the British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Alistair Burt, expressed “hope to find a solution taking into consideration right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.”
The Committee’s sixth session was held from March 8 to 9, 2012 in the British capital, London. It was chaired from the Algerian side by Mr. Abdelkader Messahel, minister delegate in charge of Maghreb and African Affairs, and from the British side by Mr. Alistair Burt, British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa.
