IUSY 33rd Congress grants full membership to UESARIO

(SPS) - The 33rd Congress of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) has granted a full membership to the Saharawi Students Union (UESARIO) during the second day of its sessions, which started on Friday in the city of Becici, the Republic of Montenegro.

UESARIO had been seeking membership for some time, and attended IUSY congresses only as an observer, until it has been granted a full membership.

On the other hand, representatives of youth organizations participating in the 33rd Congress refused to grant membership to the Moroccan Socialist Youth, in a strong indication to the occupying country, whose government still refuses to comply with international legitimacy in Western Sahara.

The 33rd Congress of International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) opened on Friday in Becici, Montenegro, with the participation of a Saharawi delegation representing the Youth Union (UJSARIO) and the Students Union (UESARIO), alongside a large number of delegations from different countries of the world.
