Peruvian President affirms Peru's strong adherence to the right of the Saharawi state to sovereignty and self-determination (Statement)

Bir Lahlu (liberated territories) September 09, 2022 (SPS) - The Peruvian President, Pedro Castillo, affirmed yesterday, September 8, the strong adherence of the State of Peru to the right of the Saharawi state to sovereignty and self-determination, according to a statement issued by the Saharawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement stated that the Peruvian President, Mr. Pedro Castillo, announced on September 8, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Peru and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), the strong adherence of the State of Peru to the right of the Saharawi state to sovereignty and self-determination.

The statement also recalled that the Moroccan’s maneuvers policy through lobbies and bribes has received a new strong setback after the President of the Republic of Peru reaffirmed, during the first anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Peru and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, the principles of sovereignty and self-determination.

It included that this strong and firm stance stresses that the Sahrawi State is to occupy its seat and natural position among the nations.
