European trade unions call to respect Saharawi people right of self-determination


Roma - Eight European trade unions, visited occupied Western Sahara in the period February 23-25, called Monday, in a report, to respect right of the Saharawi people of self-determination in accordance with the UN relevant resolutions of the conflict in Western Sahara, Sahara Press Service reported Tuesday.

European trade unions condemn human rights violations in occupied Western Sahara, especially detention of more than 100 Saharawis due to events of Gdeim Azik camp on past November.

They also call on European Union to consider the UN resolution in its relations with Morocco and cancel the advanced position of Morocco, calling on the Spanish government to stop supporting Moroccan proposals on Western Sahara cause.

This mission, which includes 8 European trade unions, was established during the 36 th international conference to support the Saharawi people held on November 2010 in France
